A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to go to Toronto to film an episode with Lisa Chang for her new segment, The Health Tech-Up. Lisa is a Lisa is a Technology, Lifestyle and Digital Wellness Expert often featured on Breakfast Television. She is interested in the ways technology is affecting our brains, and as a parent herself, wanted to learn more about how technology is impacting children.
We had such a great conversation, and I’d love if you had a listen! This was my first time in a studio, which was a really cool experience.
We explore:
What does the data say around mental health trends in children?
How does tech today differ from the tech of our childhoods?
Are there ‘better’ and ‘worse’ ways to use technology?
What are some healthy boundaries we can set for our children?
How important is our use of technology?
If you found this helpful, and you’re keen to learn more, I’ve created a guide for parents to help navigate smartphones and social media.
This Guide is for Parents Who:
Are keen to delay the introduction of smartphones and social media
Have kids that are begging for a phone, but they aren't sure if they're ready yet
Feel their child may need a device for safety, but aren't sure which device to choose
Have just given their child a smartphone and want to make sure the whole family has a positive experience
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!
